Ive seen commercials and wanted to see what this Life Class was all about. I love TD Jake's. I feel like he speaks to people in such a "real" way...I really feel like I get his message.
Last night the episode was about relationships with your family. Given that I am going through a roller coaster ride lately. I felt like this was an interesting topic that will speak to me.
I learned that we have to meet people where they are. We have to love people on their level. TD Jake's said it best he said " Did you ever think that people are loving and giving you everything they have, and its just not filling you up. A 10 gallon person wants to be loved in a 10 gallon way but are dealing with a 1 qt person" Wow what a message, Ive never really thought that maybe people are giving me all they have, and that its still not enough for me. That what they have to offer is still not "filling me up" its not their fault or mine, its just there level of loving someone isn't up to my level.
They also talked to people who are living with out a father and now the fathers are trying to enter their lives. What Jake's said was we have to remember that, when we enter someones life for the first time, that they don't have those memories, that foundation so everything is shaky. You cant expect someone to just give into you when they have no memories, they don't have a foundation with you.
They talked about men who leave there children. TD made a references that as woman we grow up with that instinct to be a mother. We play with dolls and learn to love and care for a person. Men don't get that. Especially when they grow up without a father and a lot of times run away because they feel like they aren't enough and men are naturally afraid of rejection. so in there head if they feel like they aren't enough, or good enough it is easier for them to run instead of being rejected.
After watching this I was so full, of Gods message. I encourage all of you, if you didn't get a chance to see it. Please do. Im sure there is a message in it for everyone.
God Bless!
